Many artificial pest control devices are marketed as single, "one off" solutions to pigeon control. In reality, pigeons are intelligent animals and quickly adapt. It doesn't take long to learn that sonic pest control devices, warning sounds and hawk models offer no danger.
Effective pigeon control
Studies have shown that Pigeons do not become habituated to real-life natural predators, such as Falcons and Hawks. Their presence creates no-fly zones that are associated with danger. What's more, the Hawks only need to fly once or twice per week to have the desired effect.

Bird deterrent techniques
To have maximum impact several bird deterrent techniques can be deployed at the same time (See list below). The choice will depend on the species of bird, local environment and the design of any affected buildings.
- Falconry deterrent - the use of predatory species to displace nuisance birds and pigeons.
- Highly effective - pigeons do not become habituated to the presence of natural preditors.
- Ethical - our falcons are used only as a deterrent
- Pigeon Spikes - these make it uncomfortable for pigeons and other birds to roost. Spikes do not harm the pigeons and are R.S.P.B recommended.
- Pigeon Wiring - spring loaded and placed on roosting sites to make perching difficult
- Pigeon Netting - forms a physical barrier, stopping pigeons from accessing the desired areas
